The Philadelphia 76ers have found themselves in a wait and see position. The 2016-17 season is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated years in recent memory for a 76ers fan. The hiring of general manager Bryan Colangelo was just a start to get the ball rolling here in Philly. The 76ers clinched the first pick in the NBA Draft and were able to select one of the most electrifying rookies in the last 5 years. Ben Simmons has came into one of the best rebuilding situations – perhaps second to Timberwolves – as he will get to pair up with Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor. These three players have star potential, and there is no doubt that the 76ers have a lot of other young talent that they are greedy to train and develop. The 76ers look forward to let the rest of there players run loose this season with others like Jerami Grant, Nerlens Noel, and Dario Saric. The 76ers did make Jahlil Okafor and Robert Covington available for trade, but there hasn’t been much noise surrounding their names as of late. The Boston Celtics have created a few rumors with interest in Philadelphia’s Nerlens Noel. A trade is unlikely to be done, due to the lack of players the Celtics look to give up. The 76ers look to see how their front-court plays together, as everyone is healthy and will be playing in the preseason.
