Daily Fantasy Football has not been too kind to me thus far this season, but fantasy football is marathon not a sprint. I’m very pleased with the lineup I put together this week. Hopefully we get on track with our first cash of the young Daily Fantasy Football Season. Here’s my lineup:
Phillip Rivers (6,700)
Phillip Rivers has been shredding defenses this season thus far. Even losing his standout receiver Keenan Allen in week one didn’t stop Rivers from rolling up monster stats in week 2. I expect his super season to continue against a less than stellar Colts defense in week 3. Start Rivers with confidence!
David Johnson (7,700)
I am absolutely salivating at the chance to get David Johnson in my lineup this week. He is the most expensive running back this week, but for good reason. The Buffalo Bills are a complete mess and the run game for the high powered Arizona Cardinals will travel well. Look for a 20 plus point performance from Johnson Sunday.
Charles Sims (4,900)
Sims looks to be the lead back Sunday with Doug Martin slated to miss the contest against the Rams this Sunday. His skillset is very similar to Martin’s and I don’t expect the Tampa Bay offense to miss a beat with Sims starting over Martin. I also expect Tampa to rebound at home against a Rams team that they are better than. Game flow should help Sims and the Tampa running attack.
Odell Beckham Jr. (9,100)
I look for Odell to take full advantage of a struggling Washington secondary. They were torched by both Pittsburgh and Dallas. I also fully expect Beckham to be ready to go for Josh Norman who became public enemy number one in New York after his antic against the Giants late last season. Look for Odell to have a monster day.
Kelvin Benjamin (7,200)
After missing the entire 2015 campaign with a knee injury, Benjamin has come back looking stronger than ever in 2016. He is clearly the go to guy for both Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon. Look for Benjamin and the Carolina offense to continue their success this weekend against the Vikings.
Travis Benjamin (5,200)
Travis Benjamin filled to his new role as the go to receiver for Phillip Rivers flawlessly in week 2 against the Jaguars. Benjamin stuffed the stat sheet with six catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns for a staggering 32.4 fantasy points. Look for more of the same this week against a weak Indianapolis secondary. Danny Woodhead being lost for the season with a knee injury will open raise the stock of Travis Benjamin.
Dennis Pitta (3,400)
Pitta had 12 targets from quarterback Joe Flacco in week 2 versus the Browns which resulted in nine receptions and over 100 yards receiving. Mike Wallace has emerged as the deep touchdown this season in Baltimore, but expect Pitta to pile up targets, receptions, and yards. He is a strong value this week when it comes tight ends in daily fantasy this season.
Cole Beasly (3,200)
Beasley has emerged as the safety blanket for rookie quarterback Dak Prescott and has an outstanding matchup against a dreadful Bears defense. Look for Beasley to outperform his low price tag Sunday Night versus the Bears.
Dallas Cowboys (2,500)
The Dallas Cowboys defense is far from one if the all-time greats. However, they have been playing decent football and face a Bears offense without starting QB Jay Cutler. Not a bad play at all for just 2,500 of your budget.
