On Monday evening, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors scored a career high of 60 points. The final score was 142-106 in the downfall of Paul George and the Indiana Pacers. Thompson set the 2016-17 scoring season high, overstepping Russell Westbrook who had the previous score of 51 points in a win over the Phoenix Suns. Klay Thompson is also the first player to score 60 points since Kobe Bryant’s farewell game against the Utah Jazz. In Klay Thompson’s Exact words, “It was fun. I was in a great rhythm. I took all good shots, for the most part. Still missed a few wide open threes I wish I could get back. It was a fun night, to say the least.” Thompson was 21-33 from the field, made 8 of 14 three-pointers, and only missed 1 out of his 11 free throws taken(10-11).  He kept a good rhythm, and he scored 40 points at halftime. By the 3rd quarter, Thompson had 60 points in just 29 minutes. In the end Golden State improved their season record to 18-3.
