Joel Embiid led his team to a win on Sunday night against the Brooklyn Nets. The final score was 107-106. Embiid put the team on his back and took over the entire game. He dropped 17 out of hus 33 points in the 3rd quarter, and even made history. He is the only 76ers rookie in franchise history to score 30-plus points, grab 10 rebounds, swat away three shots, and get 2 steals. Joel was dominating Brook Lopez all night. He gave him all he could handle, and the Nets didn’t have any answer for the NBA’s rising superstar. Joel hustled all night, and he was able to motivate his teammates to play to win. This was one of the biggest plays of the night.

Joel isn’t even halfway through his rookie season, and he’s making key plays. He has 76ers fans more than excited. Ben Simmons still hasn’t returned from injury, but when he does return the 76ers will become even more of a threat.  Nerlens Noel was benched last night, and Nik Stauskas was out due to left-knee soreness, but the 76ers rotation seemed perfect throughout the entire game. Joel played well, and the role players stepped up and played well with him. Ersan Ilyasova scored 22 points, and Jahlil Okafor led the game with 11 rebounds. Jahlil Okafor didn’t score a field goal all night, but he hustled. Covington and Henderson combined for 25 points, and shot over a combined 50%.

The Sixers are now 7-20, and they will face off against the New Orleans Pelicans in their last game of the home stand on Tuesday night. They will go on a 4-game road trip, and return back home on January 3rd.
