More importantly, he didn’t turn the ball over. The Panthers established their running game, and maintained a balanced offensive attack all night. The Panthers defense forced three turnovers, and kept Kirk Cousins from being able to cross the pylon. The Panthers gave up 300+ yards in the air, but take a deeper look and study how the Panthers kept the Redskins to only 30 rushing yards. The Redskins snuck in one touchdown with Robert Kelley, but it was a complete game from the Panthers. Jonothan Stewart broke 100 yards for the first time all season, and he carried the workload with 25 carries. Cam Newton found the open man through the air finding Greg Olsen 6 times for 85 yards. He shared the wealth with Ted Ginn Jr. and Ginn was able to burn Josh Norman a few times and pick up 64 yards and score a touchdown. The Panthers finally get to let their fans get a good night’s rest, while Redskins fans will have to try to figure out how they’ll make a final playoff push.
