It was tie-dye night in the student section, and the Panthers were going into the game with plenty of confidence. In the first quarter Tim Spencer went down with an injury, and Head Coach John Timms was forced to make adjustments. The Wissahickon Trojans were on an 14-4 run to start the game, and their shooters were hot. They went into halftime down by 14 points, and were in serious trouble. Trevonn Pitts put the team on his back, and the rest of his teammates stepped up with him. Nadir Slocum made an outstanding effort off of the bench and the Panthers roared back. They went into the 4th quarter down by 4 points , but the Trojans were the ones with their backs against the wall. Rodney Carson, Ahmad Bickley, and Jack Clark, all stepped up in crunch time, and delivered with clutch shots and tough defense. The Panthers deserved to win this game. They didn’t play sloppily, and they kept their composure under pressure. The Panthers finished with a win, and a final score of 69-65. The Panthers remain in first place in the American Conference of the Suburban One League.
